The SIFOR group offers a full range of services dedicated to the production and transformation of sisal in Madagascar. The group manages all stages of sisal cultivation, from planting to transformation.
Many types of products can be manufactured by SIFOR. Among these products, sisal twine and ropes hold an important place. The ropes, for instance, are used in the cable industry, where natural fibers form the core of steel cables, ensuring automatic lubrication thanks to their hygroscopic properties. These ropes are also widely used in agriculture, nurseries, the marine industry, and fishing and are available in different diameters to suit various applications.
Sisal is also used to manufacture polishing cloths, which are transformed into discs for pre-polishing and polishing surfaces such as metal, aluminum, and glass. Sisal textiles are available in various thicknesses, with adjustable threads tailored to client needs. Sisal strands are used to tie bundles, slabs, or wood scraps. Biodegradable, they are perfectly suited for the paper industry, where they are crushed and mixed with pulp. Finally, sisal rugs stand out for their durability, antibacterial properties, low flammability, and sound and thermal insulation.
Sisal fibers are versatile and used in many fields, ranging from artisanal products to industrial applications, making them a valuable resource for a variety of markets. This list is, of course, non-exhaustive, and our group is attentive to all your requests.
